Back to Nature at Lake Manze Nyerere Park
About This Safari
Feel the thrills of having an elephant eating Doum palm seeds right outside your tent. Hear its rumbling stomach and see how tender a mother is to her calf. Lake Manze Camp is situated in Nyerere National Park, an immense area of protected wilderness that has remained untouched for millions of years (it is the biggest National Park in Tanzania with its 45,000 km2 of surface, while the total protected area, the Park together with the adjacent Selous Game Reserve is 54,600 km2, almost 6% of Tanzania’s land surface). A large area of the park is drained by the Rufiji River. Abundant with wildlife and little visited by tourists, compared to northern parks.
